3 Sekunden berühmt – 4 flashmob performances on the pink carpet!

Anlässlich des 100. Internationalen Frauentages haben sich KünstlerInnen zusammengefunden, um zu hinterfragen, wie in der Kunst Bekanntheit und Öffentlichkeit produziert werden. Viermal wurde der „pink carpet“ vor Orten entrollt, die Kunst als definiertes Wertemodell für die Gesellschaft repräsentieren: vor dem Egon-Schiele-Museum in Krumau/CZ, dem Kunsthistorischen Museum Wien/AT, im Museumsquartier Wien/AT und vor der Neuen Pinakothek in München/GER. Die Kunst wurde auf die Straße gebracht. Mit der Einladung einer etablierten Ausstellungsinstitution wurden die Aktionen „in eine erstarrte Ausstellungsform gegossen“ und abgeschlossen.

To mark the centenary of the International Women´s Day, artists cam together to question how reputations and audiences are produced in art. The „pink carpet“ was unrolled four times in front of places that represent art as a concrete model of value for society; in front of the Egon-Schiele-Museum in Cesky Krumlov/Czech Republic, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna Austria, in the Museumsquartier Vienna, Austria and in front of the Neue Pinakothek in Munich, Germany. Art was brought into the streets. Through the invitation of established art institutions, the actions acquired a solidified and final form.
